Public Speaking

If you’re looking for a speaker who will deliver a carefully crafted “ease you into it”, sugar coated talk, then you’re in the wrong place.

BUT

If you want a speaker who will be blunt, emotive, and unapologetically authentic, then read on!

Ready to book me now? Email me on hello@nonbinarycreative.com to discuss your requirements.

What you get

An autistic, adhd, trans nonbinary, agender, neuroqueer, disabled human who has no filter.

I’m not someone who is going to “hold your hand” or “spoon-feed” you. I’m “in your face”, passionate, sweary, and honest.

My talks are primarily story led & interactive. I don’t have a standard “101” or “introduction to…” template talk on the subjects I speak on. I want to get straight into specifics that are relevant for you, so I encourage questions and situation examples to be shared!

Promoting Understanding and Removing Barriers

I want to start opening up the doors to the below the surface, nuanced, and in depth conversations that marginalised people have with each other about the barriers we face, and what you can do to help remove them.

I like dispelling myths, answering the questions you’re scared to ask, and giving real, tangible ideas of ways to improve your organisation, and make life better for the people around you who experience discrimination simply because of who they are.

I draw from my own experiences as an agender, nonbinary, neuroqueer trans, autistic, ADHD, disabled person, as well as conversations with friends & writings by other people about their experiences.

Impactful Engagement and Perspective Shifts

I’m quirky, I go on tangents, I create metaphors and offer thought exercises based on what someone has said.

I get excited when I see a conversation opening up about something that someone has just started to understand.

I’m loud, move my hands and arms a lot, and am not afraid to speak my mind.

At the same time, I never force anyone to do something they don’t want to do, I go out of my way to make my talks as accessible as I can, and I’m a strong advocate for the fact that although I can give you recommendations for best practices based on my own experiences and lots of research, I can only ever speak with 100% certainty for myself.

Warning! It is very possible that the way you see the world may shift after a talk with me. This will be uncomfortable for you. If you want to make an actual change for marginalised people, that discomfort is necessary.
